Microsoft has confirmed that they are dropping the price of the external HD DVD player for the Xbox 360 from $129.99 to $49.99. This comes just two days after Microsoft confirmed that they would no longer produce the HD DVD player.
Rumors persist that Microsoft is getting an external Blu-ray player ready to release on the Xbox 360 this coming May, now that the Blu-ray format has won the high-def format war.

    Full Story

I still won't buy the HD DVD player, because I can wait untill a Blu-ray player comes out. I just hope it doesn't cost to much.

hmm I might still be picking up the HDD DVD Player since the movies will be very cheap and the player itself is really cheap right now. So I might build up a collection of movies. We could profit out of this loss of ms but waiting for the bleuray is probably best for most people.
